Looks like the most eco friendly glass mug with lid currently on the market. Review by No More Plastic

This looks like it is durable. It doesn't feel too lightweight the way some glassware does, or too heavy. There are three pieces to this set: a glass mug, a stainless steel lid with silicone, and a stainless steel circle screw top that locks the lid on the mug. There's some silicone on top of the lid near the edge that sits below the circular screw top stainless steel piece. The inside of the lid is mostly stainless steel, except around the inner edge rim of the lid which has a silicone gasket. The only thing I don't like about this mug is that it does have to use some silicone to create a seal, since LifeWithoutPlastic and many other shops don't know any alternatives to this as of now. For those who don't want to drink out of stainless straws, & like the ability to see inside the straw to know if it's clean (which you can't do with stainless steel), be aware that many of the larger size glass straws don't fit inside of this. The Glass Shorty Straw, 7mm thick, 6.25" long does fit inside of the jar although it only reaches slightly less then an inch outside of the sipping hole. What this means is that your mouth might touch the lid when you're sipping using this straw unless you manually hold it up while drinking. Holding up the straw the whole time won't work once your mug is almost empty, since you need to keep the straw on the bottom of the mug then. It would be great if LifeWithoutPlastic can add to their inventory this same straw, or another plain glass straw, in a height of 7.5" or more.

Life Without Plastic Response:

Thank you, Maryann, for your helpful review and feedback. Just FYI, we do carry the Glass Shorty straw and you can see it here: https://www.lifewithoutplastic.com/store/glass-shorty-straw-7mm-6-25-inch-simple-elegance.html

And we can look into getting a longer straw of the 7mm thickness.

All the best,
